In the spirit of the Yuletide season, the Ughelli North Native led by Comr. Daniel Awisa popularly known as ‘Federa’ distributed bags of rice and cash gift to it’s members.
As the group lauded, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Egbo, the Executive Council Chairman of Ughelli North, Comr. Olerhimena Lucky Ofomukoro (JP), Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ughelli North, Hon. Onoriode Agofure, Commissioner for Transport for the generous of their donations to group.
Presenting the items and cash on behalf of the group Chairman, Comrade Daniel Awisa was the Secretary of Ughelli North Native, Comr. Felix Olokpa JP, said, “We are witnessing the gathering of Ughelli North Natives in regards to the distribution of rice and cash that was presented by our dear governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Ughelli North Council Chairman,Olorogun Jaro Egbo and Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, PDP Chairman Ughelli North for their kind gesture towards Ughelli North Native.
According to him, “We are distributing the rice and cash to beneficiaries for them to celebrate the Christmas and New Year and we are expressing our gratitude to the State Governor, Olorogun Jaro Egbo and Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro for making this possible.
“As you can see, chairman and members of Ughelli North Native are happy to receive the rice and cash for the Christmas and New Year celebration just we are witnessing the peaceful distribution without stampede.
“We are all smiling home with not just rice only but with cash and it is our prayers and wish that 2025 should be better than 2024 in the MORE Agenda of our amiable Governor.
“It is our belief that in 2025, the More Agenda of the governor will yield more dividends just as we are soliciting for more support for him to deliver in his agenda to Deltans”.
“We are witnessing his infrastructural development, human capital development, road construction and many other things that he is doing and when we support him, he will do more.’
On his part, Olorogun Agbemre Samson, JP, said, “What we are distributing today is the gift form the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and this has being the culture of Ughelli North Native to distribute whatever thing that comes to all members to celebrate the season.
“We expressed our gratitude to the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Ughelli North Local Government Council chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo and Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro JP for extending their hands of fellowship to Ughelli North Natives.
